I noticed a few different sites running like cold molasses yesterday. Not just political sites either. Some of the farming/agriculture/gardening sites I visited were also unusually slow.

Okay - Last night it freaked me out when I went to log on and received the "account suspended" message. My first reaction was to think back on what I had posted earlier. Did I post something obscene or so over the top that I wasn't worthy of redemption?!!! ARGH.....

My second reaction was to figure out how to figure out what had happened. I never experienced something like this before. After much contemplation I was FORCED to go on the hunt and pull up sister sites in the hope that I would recognize a familiar username.

Much to my relief I did locate a site.

I remember this site.....but I never really participated and now I can't remember my username or password. NOoooooooooo!!!! What in the world is my username and password!!!

I'm panicking. I can see the members I want to talk with but until I figure out my damn username and password they are beyond reach.

Calm down.....I'm a problem solver. What to do, what to do. Ah ha - I'll reregister! hehehehehe

So I illegally re-registered (shhhhhh) and was able to reach some familiar members.

This got me thinking about what is the protocol when something like this happens. Is there an email that members can reach out to and find out what the issue is?

More importantly I was struck by how worried I was that I wouldn't be able to communicate with so many of the members here. We need a Plan B. Kinda like a fire drill at work with a designated area you go to so you can be accounted for and receive any important communications.

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Imagine what it will be like when an attack or a natural event takes the electrical grid offline for a year or two.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Us old farts, as the younguns are apt to say, would survive. We've lived in a world of party lines and actually talking to people face to face. Those young'uns will be totally lost

I would suggest the Admin (who should have a copy of all our email addresses) alert us if something like this happens again. There were other sites up and running and we could have all migrated over there, taken over their sites like illegal immigrants and kept on keeping on.

the politics forums may be on the same server as this site. Both displayed the same "account suspended" message within minutes of each other. When one site slows way down so has the other site.

I quickly visited a few other political sites and none of them were having problems.

I thought I was in trouble for starting the resister petition!

But the notification was not for "Your" but "This" and advised contacting the hosting service.

Meh... when he crack dealer is dry go see the Meth guy. I put on 'The Secret Life of Dogs' from my Netflix stash. Big mistake! I could only take 15 minutes before I had to crack a book before bed. I thought about cleaning the toilets but the book won.
