Liberals will argue strongly and passionately that a person has the right to have a cake baked for them, but they will argue just as strongly and passionately that rights don't actually "exist", that they are "made up". But if rights are "made up", then how can someone have a right to a baked cake? Some might respond with "the law" or "society", but this is circular reasoning. Simply ask yourself: How did lawmakers or "society" know a baked cake was a right BEFORE it supposedly became a law or a socially accepted norm? Did they just rummage around in their own asses and pull it out? Of course not. The truth was always there waiting to be discovered through use of reason. And the truth does not depend on what some nebulous "law" or "society" says.
