    Shameless, but hilarious.

The story gives a false impression:

The results pointed to a Middle Eastern origin for Cheddar Man, suggesting that his ancestors would have left Africa, moved into the Middle East and later headed west into Europe, before eventually crossing the ancient land bridge called Doggerland which connected Britain to continental Europe. Today, about 10% of white British ancestry can be linked to this ancient population.

One migrant group managed to make it to the island. Ten percent of today's Briton's may be linked to this small group.

I recommend the study of the Asiatic migrations from east to west. Most were relatively short moves but some crossed the Eurasian continent from the Pacific ocean to west of the Danube River. The migrations do not prove that Europeans were yellow-skinned. But it does show that substantial mixing did occur wherever migrations occurred.

Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

    That is another good theory.

The headline and story is mostly politics. Some of the articles on this were pretty interesting though because they discussed how the genes for light skin developed. They think they developed independently in several regions. The north of Europe seems obvious enough (they examined DNA from a population in what is now Sweden) but it was interesting that some populations from what is now the western Mid East brought genes for light skin into southern Europe. How Europeans became "white" might be a more complicated story than initially supposed.

So does this mean I'm a black man now?

    May as well be.

I suspect that pale skin was taken as a bad omen and pale skinned people moved to less populated regions in the north to escape persecution. In many cultures "white" associated with death. I don't know that light skin genes developed so much as banded together in migrant populations, with the recessive genes eventually becoming dominant over successive generations. Mini ice ages may have contributed to populations remaining static and reinforcing certain phenotypes over others.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.

    Doesn't seem plausible to me.

I have heard of albinos being persecuted in Africa.
