I recommend the study of the Asiatic migrations from east to west. Most were relatively short moves but some crossed the Eurasian continent from the Pacific ocean to west of the Danube River. The migrations do not prove that Europeans were yellow-skinned. But it does show that substantial mixing did occur wherever migrations occurred.

Mini ice ages may have contributed to populations remaining static and reinforcing certain phenotypes over others.
