    Have People Changed?

In a thread where I commented on someone's sentience, I was thread banned. An individual, WHOse name will go unremarked commented that people have changed. Have they?

I read quite a bit. In human terms, there is nothing new under the sun. But one (or more) leftist believes people have changed. I suppose, therefore, we should give up our individual liberties and join the leftist collective.

What evidence is there to support such a radical statement that in the last two hundred years people have changed?

If people have changed, they have become softer.

Physically, perhaps. There have always been differences between those who worked and those who do not.

I was thinking along the lines of survival. If there was an EMP attack that destroyed the grid, most people don't know how to survive.

That is a matter of wrong education, not softness.

I have had a turn for the worse so I may not fulfill my plans. But the plans are a legitimate approach to the dangers inherent in a failed electrical grid or economic collapse. Anyone could do what must be done. Almost no one will do what they should.

This has always been the case. Do not despair because of this.

I'd have to see the context. I suspect this has something to do with the topic of mass murder. If so, I would suggest that people haven't changed much at all. It's just that basic human psychological and emotional needs are not being adequately me in an atomized and highly competitive social environment.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

Yes. It involved the problem of evil. People cannot be evil so guns must be. It is the story of the (e)scape goat. The sins of the people are laid upon the head of that goat which is forced out into the wilderness.

So we vilify guns instead of recognizing that some people are filled with evil and must be stopped, one way or another.

To a leftist, I think, the solution is always to impose the collective upon the individual. One must conform or be crushed.

I haven't changed at all in 72 years. But many others have; for the worse!

Now, we have partisans who put the party over the people. And the Orange Chrush is determined to crush the people, and hand us over to the corporatocracy. Just one look at his cabinet shows that he IS THE SWAMP!
