They have a bitter, often woody taste depending on how they are introduced into the wine through the casks or fruit skins.

I know that but still call it that. It has to be white and at a wedding so i can sneak around othet tables drinking it. People think I don't drink at weddings. This is why.

I never buy it because I never know what to buy.

I read online that all wine that says Hints of Oak or list Oak as in the taste that are not 15.00 or over add artificial oak taste. It said that the cost of new Oak barrels makes the wine have to cost 15 bucks or more, as you can only use the barrels once.

My Grandfather made wine all his life and dug a subcellar with my uncles and had at one time 40 oak 1/4 barrels of wine, he reused to barrels how many times I dont know. I do know that my grandmother traded his wine for vegetables and all other commodities, Grandpas wine was a hot comodity in the neighborhood.

It's an enjoyable experience and I can get up to 4 infusions out of an aged tea. For example, today I drank a lui-an from the 1980s and it drank it all day. I infused the serving I had with breakfast 4 times. The 4th serving was a little watery but it still held up reasonably well. Now wine I'm like Common. I won't pay more than $15 for a bottle of wine.
I like tea but I dont buy the stuff you do, I buy regular tea and herbal from the supermarket.

I drink tea in the winter and herb tea with no caffeine at night when its close to bedtime.

What is "regular tea" if might ask? Please don't say Lipton.

Herbal tea isn't really tea though. I like some varieties though. Rooibos especially.

I used oak cubes and oak chips in my wines. Oak barrels have a lifetime. Once it is reached they are cubed and chipped for hobbyists like me.

Fair enough. I personally think all wine sucks for drinking. I like it in cooking though.

Sometimes I am amazed at just how good some bottles of wine are. Consistency is difficult.
