    Winemakers are full of DooDoo

I love red wine with food and an occaisional glass. I refuse to pay 30-40-50-60 dollars and up for wine.

I laugh when I buy any wine and read the label, this is off an 11.00 bottle of cabernet savignon.

We blend this wine to create aromas of currant, blackberry with hints of caramel. Finishing with plum and cherry lingering on the palete. Deep tannins with robust flavor or the grapes.

BULL$#@! Ive never tasted blackberries, currant, caramel or plum or cherry in any wine. Whats a tannin taste like???

Its all bull$#@!, buy wine if you like the taste buy it again forget the year or the price or the fruit that grapes are supposed to taste like.

Right, the best wine out there is either Boone's Farm or Richards Wild Irish Rose.

None of this foo foo stuff for me.

Did you know the French legally define wine as the Fermented juice of the French grape.

You would not drink wine strictly for snob value but IMHO French wines are the best on the market, but not all of them. They have junk wines just as we do.

My favorite wine is actually Chatauneuf du Pape. In a quality wine store these can run $70.00 to $80.00. I generally buy the $35.00 bottles and even then only drink it on very very special occasions.

There are some California wines that are good and like cigars price is not always an indication of quality generally speaking cheap wines are cheap wines. I also don't favor blends although Apothic is very good. My go to wine guy calls that that wine "lab coat wine" since the wines are actually a precise blend of a number of grapes and vintages. You can find that in most grocery stores that sell wine at from $9.00 to $15.00

I dont buy french wine its expensive and it doesnt tast better. I do not like blended wines, I like dry wine cabernet savignon being my favorite. Alot of italians drink burgundy but burgundy just doesnt get it for me. I like chianti but the cheap chiantis dont tast good and im not spending 25 bucks on 750 litres of wine.

When I drank wine, what I liked depended on my mood, the occasion, and the weather. A prosecco on a hot summer day. A malbec, perhaps on a cold winter night.

Theres a homemade italian wine that you cant find anymore, its called Barbarone. There was a winery called Villa Italia that made it for years and just suddenly disappeared.

If you want a barbarone you have to find someone that makes it homemade and thats just tough todayh

Even with pricey chianti's I found them to be hit or miss. They are either really good or really bad.

The stuff is chemically fermented. It is to wine as a Whopper is to a quality hamburger.
