What is "regular tea" if might ask? Please don't say Lipton.

Herbal tea isn't really tea though. I like some varieties though. Rooibos especially.

Technically, a tea is any herb, leaf or other plant substance steeped in hot water. Tea (with a capital letter) is an aromatic beverage commonly prepared by pouring hot or boiling water over cured leaves of the Camellia sinensis, an evergreen shrub (bush) native to Asia. Tea is but one term for a liquid brewed from the leaves of these plants. Chai is just another asian word for tea. All cultures have had teas made from all manner of herbs. The word tea is associated with the trade in Camellia sinensis and the singular asian word adopted to reference it. There are actually many.

My personal favorite type of tea is Earl Grey which is a black tea flavored with oil of bergamot.

When I refer to tea I mean the leaves of the Camellia sinensis. All tea per se comes from that plant. I like rooibos, for example which is an herbal "tea" but it's not really tea. It's rooibos.

I love red wine with food and an occaisional glass. I refuse to pay 30-40-50-60 dollars and up for wine.

I laugh when I buy any wine and read the label, this is off an 11.00 bottle of cabernet savignon.

We blend this wine to create aromas of currant, blackberry with hints of caramel. Finishing with plum and cherry lingering on the palete. Deep tannins with robust flavor or the grapes.

BULL$#@! Ive never tasted blackberries, currant, caramel or plum or cherry in any wine. Whats a tannin taste like???

Its all bull$#@!, buy wine if you like the taste buy it again forget the year or the price or the fruit that grapes are supposed to taste like.

I've had $8 bottles of cab that tasted just as good as the far more expensive bottles. Some of the little cartons of wine they sell these days are fantastic. Bota, and Vendange for example.

Even with pricey chianti's I found them to be hit or miss. They are either really good or really bad.

Some chiante's tend to be real harsh. But I agree, when you find a decent one, they are quite good.

It isn't BS. If you attended a wine tasting you'd sample these wines and have an expert explain those aspects. You'd probably develop a new appreciation.


The year can make a big difference in the same brand of wine for various reasons.


The most I ever paid for a bottle of wine is $50.00 and I've had $9.00 bottles I liked more.
