I've run into a bit of a snag. I get my tv streamed and apparently I did not select Fox when I purchased the channels I wanted last year. So, I either need to buy Fox News (which I really don't want to put out money for it) or I'm going to have to think of a plan B.

most of their actual news programs you can view on line..... The commentary in the evening is propaganda anyway, just like with all networks.

The other thing that you can do is tell your provider that you want to switch and that it is a study for school. If you were not going to watch the other channel for a month anyway, it would be about the same I am guessing.

But if your goal is to be informed by the truth? You need both channels.

I wonder how Brits feel about the objectivity of BBC news coverage?? Concerning British political issues that is.

Am guessing that one side of the political spectrum or the other feels it is "slanted" against them. Would be surprising if that were not the case.

I'm in the UK right now and get to watch the BBC news that you don't have access to.
The BBC is just as left wing as it has always been and anti Trump more than pro Trump. But having said that, Brits don't choose to watch BBC News for 24 hours a day although they have an outlet for just that.

I would be interested to know why? What do you have against knowledge. I think that she is intelligent enough to understand that Fox is going to have a very distinct right leaning twist. Just as CNN and MSNBC lean to the far left.

So are you saying that if she gains more knowledge she will not lean to the left? I actually think the only thing that will change is she will understand those that do not agree with her better.

You seem very afraid of knowledge, not only in this case but in finding out the truth within the Government agencies?

I confess I am curious as to what you think is bad about it.

Like many of my posts here it is half (or more) joking. Don't read too much into it. As previously stated I regularly look at the faux news website.

I've been thinking about how our country is so divided and how that division is being promoted on our news outlets.

I've decided that I'm going to challenge myself to watch only Fox News for one week without watching any other news outlet and I'm going to try and keep a journal about what issues are covered.

My objective is to understand more how some in the country see the issues that are being discussed from a source that I don't watch.

I think what you will find is not so much how an issue is covered but what issues are covered.

I think of all the TV/Radio news sources available, both NPR and BBC are about as close as you'll get for objective reporting these days.

NPR is a liberal network. They fired Juan Williams for his comments. He's so leftist I can barely tolerate him. NPR?
