I dont care who says it....she is far from unattractive. She is beautiful, intelligent, gracious, and articulate.
At the end of the day...I am still glad that I am me. Tail and all.

I don't think that she's unattractive, but most pictures of her show her smiling and she looks quite different smiling or displaying some kind of emotion than with a very straight face. Her face is usually quite animated. I still don't think that the portrait is quite right in terms of her facial features, but it's closer to the picture I posted than most of the photographs of her.

In life she really does have great smile. (Whether one is a fan of hers or not.)

I am a portraitist in my spare time - there is a small error in the philtrum. It's a bit too short in the portrait. The eyes are a tad smaller than Michelle's and her chin is ever so slightly more square. The hand under her chin is a bit longer than it should be. I'm just guessing here, but I suspect that the artist was working from pictures of Michelle at different ages and different weights as well as sketches or sketch done while sitting for the portrait.

Before reading this thread I liked both portraits. Michelle's reminds me of a realist version of Klimt and Obama's is a great departure from the norm and I dig the flatness.

Now that I've heard the howling...I like them more.
