President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump attended a party at Mar-a-Lago on Friday just hours after visiting first responders and wounded survivors of the Parkland, Florida, school shooting that killed 17 people.

The event was a Studio 54-themed disco party, according to CNN’s Kevin Liptak.

A photo posted on Instagram captured the first couple sitting down and chatting while people socialized around them in a luridly lit room of Trump’s resort.

The younger brother of deranged school shooter Nikolas Cruz was committed to a mental health facility, according to reports.

Authorities removed someone Friday from the home of Rocxanne Deschamps, a longtime family friend of the Cruz brothers who took them in after their adoptive mother died of pneumonia in November, The Palm Beach Post reported.

A friend of Deschamps confirmed Zachary Cruz, who turns 18 next week, was the person removed from the home.

The younger Cruz brother was involuntarily committed under Florida’s Baker Act, under which he can be held involuntarily for up to 12 hours for an involuntary psychiatric exam. It’s unclear if he’s been released.

The mass murderer was a nutjob. Like Dylann Roof or Omar Marteen, he may have chosen extreme right politics, but those politics didn't make him a nutjob.

The problem here isn't Left or Right wing politics or guns. The problem is a fundamental lack of mental health care aid and laws that would ensure people like Cruz, Lanza, Loughner, Holmes and other nutjobs who committed mass murder would be stopped and given treatment before they harmed themselves or other people.
