    All TPF Women "Read"

They are saying aspargus has an amino acid called asparagine that spreads breast cancer. I am going to post a few sites for the ladies to read it and make their own conclusions.

Asparagus isn't the only food common in diets that contain asparagine, according to the study published Wednesday in the medical journal Nature. Others include dairy, whey, beef, poultry, eggs, fish, seafood, asparagus, potatoes, legumes, nuts, seeds, soy and whole grains. Foods low in asparagine include most fruits and vegetables.
    Yeah, I'll take my chances.

Benefits of eating asparagus are pretty plentiful. If a woman doesn't have active breast cancer I do not think this is really relevant to their health and what they eat. It is also a preliminary study on mice, so it has not been shown in humans.

    Interesting, though.

Try whole wheat spaghetti with oil garlic and chopped spinach. Or get whole wheat rotini and sautee, zuchini asparagus, and whatever else you want in olive oil and garlic, toss in a small can of chunky tomatos if you want some red, add seasonings and Mangia

I always serve whole wheat pasta with either garlic oil or onions in oil. That's my flavor base. I typically use a leafy green (kale, collards, turnip) or broccoli. Asparagus is rare but I was in the mood this week. Because I work out so much i usually add animal protein too but I made chili this week so I'm going vegetarian with the pasta.

Only if you suck on nipple after eating asparagus..or aspargus. I'm confused? I can't remember the last time I knowingly ate asparagus.

Almost all my pasta meals are meatless, occaisionally I make sausage.
What I also do is make Linguine with Pesto and Grilled Scallops, I buy the big sea scallops at sams, they cost a ton.

I often add meat to mine but sometimes it's just for flavoring and texture. Maybe a 6th of a pound of a heavily spiced sausage will do the trick. Yeah, scallops are great with pasta. I like the small ones though.

I have the big ones grilled with pesto, I used the small scallops for other pasta. I like the small scallops with whole wheat rotini and spinach in either a light right or just white
