They can't nor should they be able to force those students to play the national anthem! However, neither should they be able to stop those students that want to play the national anthem.

Because freedom goes both ways. The Students have ban parts of the song, other students that wish to have it remain have those rights as well.

I have no problem believing that this was generated at the student level.


The administration should have used this as an opportunity to teach. They could have used this to teach these kids about the constitutional principles which that anthem represents. Instead they abdicated their responsibility to educate our youth.
