    Probably the blood of children.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.

    Shocking to say the least.
The odds of being in a car crash are also infinitesimal, yet nobody would argue against wearing a seat-belt.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

I received a mass emailing from Elizabeth Kucinich the other night, in which she related a story about the father of an American soldier serving in Iraq, who reportedly told her, tearfully, that his son had a greater chance of coming home safe from overseas than his granddaughter had of coming home safe from school. I don't think I'm even going to go to the trouble of doing the math on that one.

This should be interesting to see where this goes.
Those sound like pretty reasonable proposals.

    Yeah. And the corollary:

Think i'm going to chalk that one up to Drama Queen melodrama.

I agree; it's always good to start some sort of dialogue so the proposals can be discussed.

Actually, mediamatters said "The odds of randomly laying out two decks of cards in the same order are infinitesimal."

    The NRA said "exceedingly small."

While unlikely you would ever need to, wouldn't you want to be able to defend yourself?

Of course; people under the 2nd Amendment have the right to defend themselves and property. I think they have a right to determine how they defend themselves; some might resort to using guns, others may used a silent weapon such as a cross bow, knives or machetes or even pit bulls (don't laugh, a farmer who lives down the road from me has 6 of them and there is no way I'd try to come onto his property with those dogs roaming around); some will chose nothing and take their chances, either way that's their choice.
