Isn't the problems with the FBI its upper level management and political appointees? No reason to scrap the agency. Just fix what is broken.

The FBI has become a hangar queen. Does the Army still DX?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I can't say for sure- I retired almost two years ago, but I think yes. The big change they did was issue soldiers their basic load in their first unit and they keep it when they PCS. (When I was in, you got your basic load at an installation and turned it in when you PCSed) So I expect direct exchanges for worn out items is still the practice. If you break it through negligence or lose it, you head out to Ranger Joes and replace it on your own dime.

Yes. I remember the day or two it took to clear prior to PCS. DX in the way I meant it was to turn in a major end item and receive a "new" one.

We need to DX the FBI and receive a new one. This one has become a hangar queen.

Like swapping out the M1911s in the Army inventory for the M9s?

I saw DX and just thought of direct exchange from my enlisted days.

Yes. Exactly. Turn in one MTOE and outfit with the new one.

I do not know as much about the CIA as I would like to. It is the politicians who get us into wars, useless or not.
