That’s the same with Washington state. Washington is considered to be filled with liberal whack-O’s. That’s true for the greater Seattle area, but not so in the rest of the state.

NJ is considered a liberal state but the "burbs" aren't all that liberal. The counties that leaned heavily in favor of Clinton contained the cities of Newark, Trenton and Camden.

Same with Metro Knoxville TN. If you only were aware of the newspaper you would think everyone in the city was anti Trump. 95% of the letters to the editor are anti Trump. However 75% of the area voted for Trump in the 2016 election and all of the Congressmen from the area are Republicans. The area has been pro republican since Reconstruction. Why the slanted reporting? Knoxville is the home of the University of Tennessee with the mindless students parroting their liberal professors and the Knoxville News Sentinel is owned by USA Today.

According to data recently compiled by Gallup from their daily tracking poll across the year 2017, President Trump's average job approval rating overall nationwide last year, his first year in office obviously, was 38%. He was the most popular in West Virginia, where his average approval rating for the year was 61%, and the most despised in my home state of Vermont, where just 26% approved of his job performance on average.

Just thought this was interesting and figured I'd share, as I consider my state's position on this map a matter of personal pride. It goes to show you that being a heavily white, agrarian, gun-toting, etc. etc. state doesn't automatically make you a Trump/Republican state.

I live in SC. Trump's approval here is more like 60% from the way people talk. No one here would believe this poll. 40-49% my butt.

I live here and that isn't correct. He is wildly popular here. If you want to poll inner city Dallas or Houston you can get a different score. But he has overwhelming support here.
