Gun control is a red herring. I do not support any additional laws restricting gun ownership or use.Mental heath reform is a necessity. If the gun laws currently on the books were fully enforced there would be no need for additional laws or regulations. We also need a return to family values and personal responsibility. When I see a family of four in a restaurant all with their own cell phones texting away I am quite aware the family unit no longer exist. When I see video games and movies designed for children rife with violence and destruction I cannot doubt where the mindset for the school shooters comes from.

I have considered it and came to the conclusion that its a red herring to harp on gun control. We have more regulations regarding guns on the books than ever before. Look at cities like Chicago and Detroit, high crime rates, high death tolls yet they have some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. We all know the ultimate goal of the statist is not to "save the children" but to disarm the public. There is nothing to consider, it certainly should not be the first reaction to this growing problem.By the way, more people die each year from drug overdoses than from gun shot wounds. Yet drugs have been completely illegal for almost a century. What additional drug laws should we pass to end the opiod addiction problem?Now, do you want to talk about mental health, which is the real issue, or law enforcement of existing laws or do you just want to troll this thread with your one liners?

There are many ways to kill large numbers of people. Setting fire to the school building or sarin gas or fertilizer bombs would do the trick. If one is intent on killing large numbers of people they can find a way.
