Right wing pundits attack student survivors of mass shooting, and Donald Trump Jr approves

On Monday, the site Gateway Pundit—a harbor for the most extreme conspiracy theories and hate-mongering of the alt-Reich—“discovered” that senior David Hogg, who has appeared on many programs to express his insistence that thoughts and prayers come after action, was the son of an FBI agent. This discovery immediately led to other right wing news sites declaring that Hogg’s opinions no longer mattered, as this was just another sign of the media trying to “prop up an incompetent bureau.” And to put the seal of authority on it, Donald Trump Jr gave a thumbs up to this announcement on Twitter........

How did they pull off this great piece of detective work to uncover Hogg’s shady background as the son of a former FBI agent? Despite the big “Exposed!” at the top of the pundit-page, Hogg declared loudly and proudly that his father had worked for the FBI several times in televised interviews. So … great work there.

And then there's this jewel:

It was just discovered that the full name of the shooter is “Nicolas de Jesus Cruz” and that he is a registered Democrat in the state of Flordia [sic]. It is becoming more clear that this individual was NOT, in fact, an actual Trump supporter, as is being reported by the media as the result of the image that shows Cruz wearing a MAGA hat.

Really? No. Not really. Because the name of the shooter was Nikolas Cruz. With a ‘k.’ And every single scrap of their big discovery, was a flat-out lie.

Gotta love the RWNJs, they just attack and attack and attack, no care for truth or not.

I don't see any references to attacks on the shooting victims. Also, every news outlet in the beginning listed his name as Nicolas Cruz without the "K".

By the way, why are you not addressing the real issue here, the lack of support for mental health reforms?

Gun control is a red herring. I do not support any additional laws restricting gun ownership or use.Mental heath reform is a necessity. If the gun laws currently on the books were fully enforced there would be no need for additional laws or regulations. We also need a return to family values and personal responsibility. When I see a family of four in a restaurant all with their own cell phones texting away I am quite aware the family unit no longer exist. When I see video games and movies designed for children rife with violence and destruction I cannot doubt where the mindset for the school shooters comes from.

Was David Hogg shot during this event? If not he is not a "victim" but a witness. Besides, I don't pay attention to conspiracy theories from any direction.

Actually that was what made me look farther afield for juicy stories. If they can post a dozen from daily caller and the federalist ant that kinda garbage then surely I can post from Huffpost and slate. Hell I may even go browsing through the Palmer report for material later.
