Dr. Savage is wrong, of course. As long as we face a powerful and oppressive government every thinking person "needs" a weapon roughly equal to what a government soldier will carry. Dr. Savage failed to consider the nature of evil. Governments are always evil. Always. We can never allow the government to monopolize its power over us.

All of this nonsense about defense of freedom is imaginary. The reality is that people in any third world nation are more likely to fight for freedom. They have far less to lose. The truth is that Americans enjoy more freedom now on a relative basis, than ever before in history - the freedoms that really matter and keep you and your family alive and well. Who is yearning for the freedom to die of starvation, depradation and violence?

Because they are just this side of a military weapon. Pupils expand and imaginations run wild. Political armaggedon day will come and I will be prepared for the blood bath! Nevermind your blood pressure and your arthritis that would actually leave you ducking for cover and soiling your pants hoping that no one sees you. However the kids would be out there, fearless, because their brains can't contemplate death, shooting wildly and dying.

Let's get a grip. AR-15s and the like will never be necessary because no one but some kids and military types in good shape would be willing to fight to the death today. People are too fat, lazy and scared to really engage in a war. War would mean sacrifice, doing without food and safe shelter, not to mention doing without social media and entertainment. That is not something that today's America would tolerate. All of this nonsense about defense of freedom is imaginary. A Glock pistol can fire 15 rounds before reloading. How does that help? It would do the same damage as the AR-15. Facts are a $#@!. I can buy an AR-15 without having to explain anything to you. When you can prove banning them makes a difference come back with some facts.

Furthermore, Dr. Who. I can say you may have severe limitations on giving such an opinion. Remember.....is was you.....Dr. Who......who completely fell apart at mere words used by a Presidential candidate. Not a war of sacrifice mind you......not a physical altercation......someone who was a Presidential candidate you weren't even going to vote for made some comments that reduced you to being sickened to the stomach, you were thrown overboard by mere words. So......it's easy to see how you'd hold such an opinion on Americans and how fat and lazy and scared they are. Many were able to overcome the horrifying words of Trump that reduced you so effectively.
