The seizure of Mr. Cruz's gun is the issue at hand for many and who can deny the teacher who shielded his students with his own torso wouldn't have had a better chance if armed?

I'm reading what the students are saying about this man. Hero. Level headed. Truly loved his student. Genuine love. Not the bullshiit we hear or see ion the movies, love that this man would sacrifice himself for his students. I cannot think of a better man, instilled with these values, who loves these students like they were his own.....with access to a firearm and knowledge and training. Who as a father I could walk up to him and thank him with the knowledge that he's every intention of seizure should a maniac enter the school and endanger my child...and the entire student body.

TSA are not normally armed. The guns they "seized" were either accidentally packed in luggage or a feeble, but stupid attempt to slip one aboard. Usually just idiocy, not maliciousness.
