Hillary Would Have a Better Chance Than Obama

(CNN) – If Hillary Clinton were on the ballot in 2012 as the Democratic presidential nominee she would fare better against the Republican candidates than her current boss, President Barack Obama, according to a new national poll.

Although the secretary of state has repeatedly said she will not run for president in the next election, Clinton beat the top GOP candidates among likely voters in hypothetical matchups.

The TIME survey taken on Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 showed Clinton ahead of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney 55% to 38%, Texas Gov. Rick Perry 58% to 32% and former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain 56% to 34%.

Obama did not fare as well against the same candidates, edging out Romney by three percentage points, 46% to 43% and beating Perry and Cain by 12 percentage points, 50% to 38% and 49% to 37% respectively.

A lot of us already suspected this but you can see it for yourself in the polls.

Then again the polls said Perry would be the leader before he declared. Anyhow, I don't think Hillary is going to go for it this time around.

Only way is if Obama drops to 31%.....then shades of Carter/Kennedy. Which the Dems are doing all they can to avoid.

Thing is I do believe Obama will have a good shot against Cain or Romney. I wish it weren't so but neither of those two will excite independents enough to come out and vote.

I used to think there was no way that Obama would get reelected, now I realize I was wrong. Even if the economy continues to stink. I didn't think Bush would get reelected either and he did. In order to get the incumbent out I think there has to both be major screw ups and/or an exciting opposition candidate that really captures people (like Clinton, Dubya, and Obama). I have yet to see Cain or Romney really excite people. Does that make sense? People dislike Obama more than they actually like any of the Republican candidates. That's what worries me that we are in for another four years of him.

If she were running she might win IMO, as the saying goes, the backup QB is the most popular guy on the team, but it won't make a difference since she's not considering a run. She already tried and Obama shut her down.

She does look older in the photo, older than I've ever seen her look.

I doubt BO will be able to inspire the same turnout among blacks so I agree that there is no way Hillary ever will. Obama mania among the youth was a product of the circumstances (1st potential black Pres etc.) so that's another unrealizable goal for Hillary. I do think she could possibly animate liberal whites but not independents.
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
