When was "mental health screening" pooh-poohed? Was it the idea or the implementation? Obviously a violent, mentally troubled autistic 19 year old shouldn't not only have had guns, but he should have been in a facility due to his previous violent threats. Why wasn't he?

Agreed. It's sad that this disturbed young man wasn't given the help so many certainly thought he needed before he destroyed both his own life and the lives of so many innocents.

One problem . . . guns do not jump around clawing (killing) people. They pretty much will be in the same position ten years from now when you had last touched it.
