    The cold has finally come to NNY. Close to 80 earlier in the week but a more seasonable 40 or so the last couple of days. I'm not sure how much it really matters as it seems like it's daylight for about 2 minutes and shrinking.

    Since I moved out here, I've been watching the wooley worms colorization. Dark tips on the ends with a light color in the middle indicates how our winter will go.
    For the first time in 7 years, they are solid black. That could mean a severe winter, if their coloring is accurate.
