In Butte county Cal, mudslides and flash flooding going on. Evacuations. 2 debris flows have trapped fire engines, Butte county sheriffs, and approx. 50 people on Honey Run Rd. Flows are 5-6 feet high according to Cal Fire

A 7.5 hit near New Caledonia and there is a threat for a tsunami

They are seeing waves, Tsunami warnings were also issued for Vanuatu and Fiji.

Ok I have live cams and just not seeing it. Even with the aftershocks. Unless something drastic happens I don't see a major tsunami

We're hunkered down for 12 - 18 inches of snow beginning tonight (it's snowing/sleeting now) and ending Monday morning. Both wood heaters are blowing hot and homemade veggie soup has been slow cooking all day. Oh, and watching the Army Navy game.

I made homemade veggie soup yesterday. I don't know yet how much snow we will get tonight.

The snow is south of me for once. Although I would like some snow. Going hiking next weekend and it looks like rain.
