2-4 inches of snow forecast for the DC area this weekend. As you go further south it will be icey.

I heard that you folks were getting snow this weekend. I think we already had ours for the week. But we'll likely struggle to get above zero all weekend. Which is much better than the cold with no snow as the snow helps insulate and saves a little on heating cost.

Our problem is that the temps are hovering above and below freezing. So it is hard to forecast snow. I much prefer snow over ice.

Well the snow continued into the night. We probably got around 8 inches. Over night it froze over, so the streets (other than major arteries) are iced over. Hopefully the sun melts the ice on my windshield before I have to use it.

There is no effective way to deal with ice, except to stay home. It also tends to attack our vulnerable grid, but heavy, wet snows can do the same. What did you wind up getting hit with.? We ranged from -20 to I think I say +2 once this weekend.

C'mon take your scrapper and some elbow grease. LOL . Sounds like a lot of snow for a city to deal with.
