We've had some beautiful, actually Fall-like days lately in central Arizona - sunny and in the low sixties. Last night, however, it was thunderstorms and tremendous winds all night that blew things around and kept many people up listening to it, like a big truck revving its engine, and wondering whether their trees and roofs were going to be in their usual places in the morning. At four a.m. an alarm sounded on my cellphone as they announced a tornado warning. (We really don't see many of those in this part of the country.)
We're down one yard umbrella, but aside from that I think we made it through pretty well. Up in northern Arizona, in places like Flagstaff and Prescott, some roads are closed because of the snow.
