I'm jaded because I have seen and witnessed many here not only make fun of one's immutable identity, but several more even thank them for it. I don't need to start with all the ebonics jokes or other things said in the previous administration, because while you were trying to make a slight on the difference if it was Michelle vs Melania, only those that were blinded to what was said here on a daily basis would attempt to compare.

I think we can agree that you're jaded (as am I). Yes, I have witnessed others celebrate insults for immutable identity characteristics, no doubt. I stated that I didn't find it funny. To me, making fun of one's skin tone is comparable to making fun of one's language or inability to speak. They are not the same historically in this country, but they are singularly personally insulting. I just don't do it, wasn't raised that way, didn't raise my kids that way and don't find it amusing. Moreover, I have a tendency to give the First Lady a large pass b/c of the difficulty and public nature of her position. I have always done so. The fact that the left comedians are making fun of Mellania's language and inability to speak book English is insulting; particularly b/c they'd never do it if it was a democrat first lady that couldn't speak book English. They do it b/c they loathe her husband. Loathe away. I loathed Obama and his policies. No secret about that and I think that when the smoke clears and the books are written it'll be seen as the most corrupt and freedom dangerous administration in American history. (I get you disagree) For them to insult her like they are doing is wrong. JMNSHO.
