First we do need to address Slavery and correct the assumption that the GOP was the party of slavery it was not. That oppression is owned by the Democrats and if one only looks at their policies you can see that it is alive and well today.

Next the reason that the working poor align with the GOP and Conservatives is easy to see, Look at what is happening in the economy as we speak. Jobs are coming back to the USA, wages are increasing, more people are getting back into the workforce and there will be opportunity for those that are working poor to move up the economic ladder.

The Democrats only promise government dependency which is always going to be poverty, and it not designed for people to get off that system.

So in the policies and principles of Conservatism is the only hope that these people have of making a better life for themselves

I paused to listen to Mark Levin last night. He said it well. The Republicans are spending like drunken Marxists. They are fully funding every left-wing program. They are fully funding Obamacare bailouts. They are fully funding Planned Parenthood abortion mills. They are spending vast sums of money on things they promised to cut while failing to fund the things they promised to fund. They are putting every item into a bill so huge no individual could read it and comprehend it.
