So after more than a year of several people telling me I had to watch this show, I broke down and checked it out.
I mean...what good is having an adult daughter with a Netflix account linked to your TiVo if you don't take advantage of it every so often?
Since Saturday, I've watched the first season - 8 episodes - and six of the eight episodes in season two. Which with my schedule qualifies as binge-watching.
Yeah...believe what people say about it when they say it's good. Very Stephen King-ish, kids vs. monsters, with a dash of Spielberg and a good dose of Lovecraft - but that's only on the surface. It's scary as sh*t and it just gets scarier the more of it you watch. You only think it's going to be a rip-off of something like 'It', with kids battling an evil menace and the grownups oblivious to it all - and then the story sucks you in and becomes something different and it's too late.
Heh heh.
