Soviet Dissidents and Modern American MRAs

In 1978, it could be said that even though some Dissidents have legitimate criticism of the Soviet System, most of people publicly criticizing Communism in USSR are professional thieves. The word "vor" means both a thief and a professional criminal. "Vor v zakone" means elite among professional criminals. Many people saw that Soviet system had many flaws, but the vast majority of law abiding citizens did not want to get a criminal record via Article 70 which penalized Anti-Soviet Agitation and Propaganda. The penalty was from six months to 7 years of imprisonment depending on severity, publicity and persistence of criticism of Communism. Unlike law abiding citizens, many professional criminals were not silent about the problems they saw.

In 2017, many men and some women understand that men in USA do face massive discrimination. Male offenders are more likely to be arrested, being arrested they are more likely to be convicted, being convicted, they get 63% longer sentences for the same crime then female offenders. Men are discriminated in Divorce cases. Male victims of Domestic Violence are arrested more frequently then helped. Male bashing is widely accepted in the Mainstream Media -- including calls for the extermination of men, which are supposedly a joke.

Many men understand that in the age of Political Correctness, their Freedom of Speech is not very real. Yet, anyone who raises awareness about the discrimination men face is excluded from the polite society and may lose his/her job. Depending on severity, publicity and persistence of Politically Incorrect Speech, the "offender" may be blacklisted or subject to abuse and stalking by hundreds of SJWs. Mentioning these issues on Social Media is generally more accepted, but not 100%. Very few men of good social standing speak up. Men like Roosh Voreck who have no social standing to lose do speak up. Of course there are MRAs and Egalitarians who have never said anything discriminatory and who sacrifice their reputation to help male victims. I am especially grateful to women who defend men's rights. They are true heroes.

Many people have noticed that there are a lot of odd individuals within the Manosphere. Most MRAs who stand for equality 100% would like to separate themselves from people like Roosh V. We do not know how this would be achieved, but there is a historical precedent. In Russia 1991, most people criticized Communism. Law abiding citizens gained freedom to mention issues which in 1978 were forbidden. Being anti-Communist no longer meant being a criminal. In 2018, President Vladimir Putin has support of 76.7% of population, while Communists have support of 13.5%. I hope that by 2031 not just MRAs, but most men and some women will use their fundamental human rights to speak about the discrimination men face. But anyone who blazes the trail is doing a great service to the Society.

Some people argue that while men do have valid issues, people like Paul Elam and Roosh Voreck undermine them.

In my opinion, Paul Elam and Roosh Voreck bring attention to valid issues -- even if they write offensive articles to generate attention.
