I almost met her at the 'drop in the park' pearl jam show. I was painfully shy and really, really high though My buddy was friends with a friend of hers so they chatted a bit while I just stared like an idiot.

This show was fun. I thought Eddie was gonna die though (infamous scaffolding incident) I was freaked out a bit .. but like I said, I was really, really high

She's very different than her image. Very smart. Disciplined. She can't play her way out of a paper bag though. Still her thing shines through. Rare.

I didn't take these pics, I dumped them from a fan site that posted pics from shows, it was the same one in Youngstown, around the same area we sat in. I didn't take pics, they were pistol whipping people who pulled cameras out so I didn't bother. A band called Big Business opened for them, they weren't otherwise notable but the pushed the drummers kit out on stage for a sort of "dueling drummers" set with Carey, it was decent.

    Awesome -

I saw them a few times back in the early/mid 90s but that decade is pretty hazy.

    Can't wait!

They were in my area last summer with Primus opening for them in a college arena venue. Sadly I couldn't get tickets.

Never saw Rush, wish I did.

Or Primus for that matter, I developed an appreciation for Primus later in life.

I did see SOAD at a small college venue in Pittsburgh back when nobody knew who they were. The singer (forgot his name lol) found himself inconveniently incarcerated but they still held the show, they had random people from the audience jumping up and singing.

    A memorable event well after.

Badass- Those small shows are the best. I don't think I ever saw SOAD live. At least that I can remember.

I was spoiled growing up in the 80s/90s in Seattle. Got to see so many cool bands in the little bars before they blew up.

That might be the only good reason to have grown up on the PNW.

I saw Quiet Riot during their Metal Health tour at the Stanley Theater (a movie theater) in dahntawn Pittsburgh in the early 80's.

And I saw Air Supply at the (forgot the name of the venue but it's now a high-end venue called the Benedum in Pittsburgh) after taking my (then girlfriend) wife to see a bunch of heavy acts. I won't comment on the show.
