NFL Star charged with three felonies in alleged domestic violence attack

CALIFORNIA — Reuben Foster, a professional football player, for the San Francisco 49ers, was charged today with felony domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend.
Foster, 24, physically attacked the 28-year-old woman during a February argument at their Los Gatos home, leaving her bruised and with a ruptured ear drum.

On February 11, the victim flagged down a stranger’s car driving on Shannon Road to call 911. She called police. The victim told responding sheriff’s deputies and Los Gatos police that Foster dragged her by her hair, physically threw her out of the house, and punched her in the head 8 to 10 times.
The victim went to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injuries, and released. During their search of Foster’s home, officers found the weapon – a Sig Sauer 516 – along with its large capacity magazine – both of which are illegal to possess in California.

Seems like you hear about this kind of thing a lot out of the NFL.

Continuously, they need to start hammering these pampered athletes. They want to call them heroes because they can play a game and Roll Models, then when they commit felonies they need to get hammered harder

Well you take a guy, make allowances for his actions, teach him to hurt people ( rather than just tackle them) and add some steroids and ......

The 49ers need to get better at vetting. Foster is a talent but he's dumber than a post and apparently a full on animal What's the reason scouting could not have picked that up? I'm afraid the answer is that it's a risk with a scary percentange of head hunting, entitiled , roid rage, football players.

Sometimes these things can't be scouted. This has nothing to foreign the 49ers scouting process.

I believe that kind of temper can sometimes be predicted if you do a good enough work up

Football players are generally aggressive young men. This incident falls on the individual, not the team.

If the team was continually trying to cover up this kind of stuff, then they'd be culpable too.
