If the goal was to change the course of the civil war there, that would have been accomplished by taking out Assad's military aircraft and other assets. There's a reason the US doesn't tip the scales to favor the rebels.
The US will be leaving Syria and many of the people who are complaining about US involvement there will still complain.
Obviously our civil war against stupidity will go on longer than expected. And involve battles where you're surprised when someone is seen fighting for the other side. I remember a reasonable knowledgeable member of this forum by the name of MisterVeritis. Concerning politics and morality, he's often right in line with myself. But then an issue came up the other day that concerned US law and our President's powers to introduce military action or strikes. And MisterV got caught wearing the wrong uniform. Not the wrong color nor flag, not the wrong ethics or morals. I'm talking the wrong point of view uniform. I mean.....MisterV.....is that a pledge pin......on your uniform?
MisterV.......read the law for the second time.....first timers are always squeamish.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.
I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.
