A Few Photos of my Gelding

I took these last Saturday; a windy, cool day, which should have made them silly. It didn't, sigh. My mare didn't do squat and my gelding perked up for a nanosecond, so I was able to get these shots. It's hard as hell to get liberty shots by yourself...

Yes, Ocala is the winter venue for the hunter/jumper/dressage circuit with New York state being the summer spot. Palominos are gorgeous! Here is a photo of a well known Half Arabian Palomino reining horse we all admire-

Actually, to me, he looks more palomino. Arabians are taller, lithe and leggy, like distance runners. Palominos are well proportioned, but good cow ponies because of their center of gravity and muscularity. More like a quarter horse.

She is a Quarter Horse Arabian cross. Very popular these days.

To clarify, Palomino's and Pinto's are strictly color breeds. So, any primary breed, e.g. Quarter Horse, Arabians, Tennessee Walkers, Paso Fino's etc., can also be a color breed. OTOH, Paints are stock horses with color.

For example, this stallion is a Purebred Arabian stallion that is also registered as a Pinto.
