April 20, 1993 DATELINE:
The Daily Kurse. Syrian President Hafez al-Assad has threatened to bomb the U.S. in retaliation for yesterdays chemical attack on the Christian sect Branch Davidians in Waco Texas by agents acting on the orders of strongman William J. Clinton. Hafez al-Assad has branded as war criminals the Clinton administration including Janet Reno and the heads of the FBI and BATF. Assad has indicated that he will ask for help from other countries that agree that the U.S. government actions against the Branch Davidians was a violation of international law as well as violating the constitution of the United States of America. He has stated that he plans a comprehensive military strike designed to degrade the American capacity to use chemical weapons on its own people. Hafez al-Assad declared that the red line had been crossed not only after the attack on the Davidian compound where civilians including a number of children were attacked with military vehicles and gassed with military grade CS and then burned to death, but by Americas aid to the Saddam Hussein regime in its war against Iran where he used chemical weapons with the assistance of the U.S. Hafez al-Assad stated to the world that if we don't stop them over there that there will be a future where we may be forced to stop them here in the Middle East.
