There's a new thing at USPS, images they scan can be sent to you via email to notify you want to expect delivered that day. I signed up, saves the 20 yard walk to the mailbox.

Well, the alternative is UPS OOps! And FedEx FedUp(joke) they do a good job actually, outside of pkgs being stolen off your porch.

Then I noticed it didn't notify me some days and I missed mail.

Now it hasn't worked in a week or two.

The Post Office for the most part does a credible job. We all know the stories of lost , late or damaged mail but if you look at the total volume they have a fairly good record. They deliver almost 494 million pieces of mail every day.

The post office isn't really a branch of government.


That being said, when was the last time you were standing in a line receiving horrible service at your local post office? 25 people in line, one person working. Then the supervisor walks in and tells him it's time for his break.
