D.C., may allow 16-year-olds to vote for president

Washington, D.C., may allow 16-year-olds to vote for president in the 2020 election

Washington, D.C. may lower the voting age for federal and local elections to 16. The legislation was introduced last Tuesday by D.C. council member Charles Allen (D-Ward 6), who said he was inspired by the high schoolers that came to D.C. to protest at the March for our lives.
Advocates of the measure say they have the support of seven of 13, a majority of D.C. Council members.
"I think people are getting excited about this, especially with what's going on in the nation right now in terms of youth leading social change. So I think that people are going to be very excited about it and want to get on board," said Alisha Chopra, 18, a senior at School Without Walls.

What the hell, lets remove all age restrictions from voting right. Mothers can help their newborns in the voting booth to vote for the candidate of their choice. If a 16 year old is mature enough to tell the rest of us how we should be enslaved why not the preborn as well?

Make them adults at 16. let them own weapons, vote, be eligible for the draft, and not eligible to stay on Mom's insurance until age 26.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

Where does it end? Seriously, I think anyone with an ounce of intelligence would know that the average 16 year old is no where mature enough to know and understand the issues. But, if a 16 year old can vote, why not a 14 year old or a 12 year old? Where does it end?

Make them adults as soon as they can speak and demand more free toys in cereal boxes or additional ice cream cones.

Remove all voting restrictions, no more age limit, no more citizenship requirements, no more registering, no more voting only once. If you want to make voting a sham why not go all the way with it.

If they can vote at 16, why not drink legally? Buy alcohol? You're supposed to be 18 to buy cigarettes, I guess that would have to change, too.

16 year olds joining the military, getting sent to war zones .... I can't wait! I'm not even in favor of 18, 20 year olds going to war zones.

If our future rests on who 16 year olds vote for? Heaven help us all...( We're damn close to that point, now.)

David Hogg is a good example of what we'd be up against.
