Well, considering if you produced a portable plastic gas container 15-years-ago and after all of that time and parts lost you can be sued for millions and lose because irresponsible parents didn't keep them out of reach of their pyromaniac children who spilled gas in the garage and sustained burns to 80% of their bodies, I have to conclude that gun manufacturers, if not protected by the 2nd Amendment, would end up out of business.

Bull$#@!. I asked a question for clarification. You jumped in to defend you fellow cultist. Why not let him answer the question?

You did not ask a question for "clarification". You asked for more "ammunition" with which to mock. You are far too full of yourself to allow any real thought to enter your mind. Besides, the question of the meaning of Salvation has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Lot of questions with this. Did the mother know her boyfriend left his gun where it was accessible to her child? What was the reason for leaving the gun in the car in the first place? It seems like he pulled it out and left it for some reason that may have been stated before: Store not gun friendly, no concealed weapons permit, ex con and couldn't have a gun in the first place? Who knows at this point.

I would say he was very irresponsible in leaving the weapon where the child could get it. The mother could also be considered irresponsible in not watching her child if she knew the BF had left the gun. The one I feel the most for is the child who will always have the knowledge she shot her own mother.

Irresponsible gun ownership is the gift that keeps on taking. It's funny, but almost every other aspect of human freedom can be regulated to death, except guns. People are free to treat them like houseplants despite the fact that they have no purpose other than killing - okay threatening to kill as well, but ultimately they don't have any other real use, yet you risk arrest if you grow a marijuana plant in your house. Some places don't even allow you to gather rainwater for your garden, but you can leave your guns laying around everywhere in your house. Public nudity is against the law, but negligent ownership of guns isn't. You can be fined for not mowing your lawn, but not for having 100 loaded guns all over your house in plain sight and children in the house. You can't throw out a refrigerator without taking off the door but you can leave a gun in your unlocked car without breaking the law. Bizarre.

I really hate it when you post on gun issues. You blather on and on and on until even someone like Crepitus can tell you don't have a clue.

As someone who has been in the position to see firsthand what humans do to other humans. Any person hellbent on killing someone does not need a gun and they will find a way to get the job done.

Cave men had no guns, they killed each other
Egyptians, Vikings, Romans, Greeks, Barbarians the Crusades etc etc etc killed hundreds of thousands of people without a SINGLE GUN.

Its the MINDSET of the human that holds the tool

Lawsuits against gun manufacturers have been based off defective product case law. They have all been dismissed, because the said firearms worked properly.
