Newly uncovered video seems to show her promoting political violence and praising airplane hijackers. watch video here The Fresno Bee reports that in one video, she says, “The other side is, like, doing some stupid s—. I’m gonna do some stupid s—. I’m tired of, like, being the bigger person — literally am usually — but, like, I’m also just tired of the left being, like, f—ing stupid and being like, ‘No we have to like be gentle’… no, don’t be f—— gentle.” She continues, “Resistance fighters in the 60s and 70s, they didn’t kill anyone, but they scared the $#@! out of people. You know, they would hijack a plane and be like, ‘we’re not gonna hurt anyone on this plane, but we are gonna $#@!ing hijack this plane.'” Jarrar also appears to encourage political violence, saying that leftists need to start throwing grenades. “Like, why is Spencer’s house still standing?” she asked. “I don’t understand. Like, it needs to be $#@!ing broken into, people need to $#@!ing throw grenades into it. I don’t give a $#@!!” It’s unknown who Jarrar was referring to by “Spencer,” but it may have been a reference to prominent white nationalist Richard Spencer. Jarrar tweeted about Barbara Bush after her death last week, calling the former first lady an “amazing racist” who “raised a war criminal.”

Plane hijackings have a very interesting history pre-9/11 that included political refugees hijacking planes to avoid going back to countries like Russia. It was usually political or financial but not violent the way we think of modern hijackings. That doesn't mean anyone should advocate in favor of it, but it certainly wasn't what we would commonly think when hearing the phrase.

There were a few Cuban hijackings that fit that bill, but the ones who really set the standard were the PLO, PFLP and Black September in the 70s.
