I understand. I have performed reenlistment ceremonies. Not like this one, but I did not post it. So had it been like this, zero people would know about it.

I also use to give briefings to soldiers going into combat. The first thing that I said was never post anything.

But they do....

Obviously posting it on Facebook or wherever was the second mistake. In this case I'm glad they made that second mistake. They are gone, as they should be.

I have heard strange goings when naval vessels cross the equator. From what I hear, it reminds me of Muslims who do stuff and say it is not gay.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's not something which should be mocked or looked at as an opportunity to treat it as a joke. One time I reenlisted in an assembly area while deployed in combat.
