    But they do....
Obviously posting it on Facebook or wherever was the second mistake. In this case I'm glad they made that second mistake. They are gone, as they should be.

That is true. They got themselves gone.

When I did reenlistment ceremonies it was more like a religious experience.

It is much ado about nothing.

Let's throw all these people out of the service.

I imagine Maj Gen. Terry M. Haston would expire from the vapours if he ever witnessed a line crossing ceremony.
It could be that the purpose of your life is only to serve as a warning to others.

Look, I think people are making too much out of this. If only these fools didn't post it, it would not be an issue.

How many here had the balls to enlist and reenlist? (I know many have)

    Sigh

What can you possibly say to the terminally ignorant that will make a difference?

If there is a place to take customs and courtesies seriously, it is the military.

I have heard strange goings when naval vessels cross the equator. From what I hear, it reminds me of Muslims who do stuff and say it is not gay.

    Go Army

I wouldn't go that far, but it's not something which should be mocked or looked at as an opportunity to treat it as a joke. One time I reenlisted in an assembly area while deployed in combat.
