Perhaps invasion of some of those countries is unlikely BECAUSE they have nukes ? You can reject all the suggestions you wish but facts are facts and nuke nations don't tend to get invaded , even by us ( the world police/imperialist).
So more nuke nations= less invasions is a reasonable albeit not a control freak friendly , conclusion.
And that is the bottom line which trumps ( yes pun intended) your party line.

If Iran approaches their breakout date every nation in the Middle East will have their own crash programs to build and deploy usable nuclear weapons. It seems like a foolish strategy.

The facts are that nuke nations tend not to be invaded, even by us ( the world police/God's) . Even those that many would like to invade like NK.
Instead the nuke nations like Russia and America fight by proxy in $#@! holes like Afghanistan leaving said $#@! hole worse off. A fact we now know before we go in but in we go regardless..
It makes sense that the more nations that have nukes the less places the comically named "super powers" have to make war.

US. We are being invaded although we have lots of nuclear weapons. So that didn't work out well for you.
UK. The UK is bein invaded although it has nuclear weapons.
France. France is being invaded although it has some nuclear weapons.
...
