OK, that I can sort of agree with though I prefer what I take as Dumont's thesis, not "the market was posited as a social order" but as the social order predominant over the political, associative and all else, especially the way it's studied as a discipline with emphasis on the individual as actor.

But, Deneen, Why Liberalism Failed, cautions in conclusion against seeing the free market, even liberalism itself as all evil, we can't go back, he argues, but must build off what's valuable, we can't do what liberalism has done, undermine what was of value in the premodern world.

That's probably an even better way of getting my point across. The issue is really one of economic reductionism.
Regarding Deneen, we definitely agree. I suspect that any conscious attempt to "go back" would produce something hideous like Nazism. Even Alain de Benoist argues that liberal individualism has value that should be retained.
