By the way, I don't consider you part of the nursing home gang. You often get into arguments with them.

As for Bethere returning and bragging, whatever. I don't care. Anything is more interesting than this crap.

My activity is way down. I owe Chris some replies tomorrow on a good topic but, yeah, the place has been a bore lately.

I used to post much more often, but I kept getting in trouble when people didn't agree with everything I said.

Like when I gave an opinion on the brain-dead kid - this is the response I got from a poster I had respected:

That is callous, false and gives us a great idea of how badly you have been indoctrinated.
It is shameful how they have managed to take a young brain and fill it full of... something other than reason.
People get discouraged when the only response is a personal attack - no explanation why my opinion is considered wrong. I replied, but I probably won't bother much in future.

How many times has that happened with other people - and we wonder why this place is dying?

You got that response because it was true. It is not my fault you can't handle it.

A good amount of liberals and conservatives.

Bring them all back, I say. This place is becoming incredibly boring and lame.
This is why I make witty and inane remarks, and engage in mockery and anti =Trump rhetoric! Its just a way of getting others aroused to add to the stimulous!

The Cardinal sin of political forums is to be BORING!

This I'm assuming is what you said:

"Bans should be of a determinate period instead of lifetime IMO. A 3 or 6 month ban would allow for what the OP is suggesting. If the Ban rule can be modified it might work. Maybe I'm a sadist but I liked seeing the brawls play out on the board. We thought that was bringing down the forum when in reality it was propping-up traffic and membership. I have no numbers to back-up my assertion just my gut and experience here since the bans happened."

    This is what I said:

"I suspect there is no quick fix and it probably needs to be thought out extensively by the advisers/mods/admins with input from the forum members."

Just to set the record straight.
You are correct. I screwed up the quote function and my post placement. Thanks!
