Definitely. A person whose basic needs are met would not be interested in committing theft/robbery/drug dealing.

Moreover, lots of stress and mental illness is caused by worry about jobs.

Any data to back that supposition up? Historical data says otherwise.

I have not read any scholarly studies -- just common sense.

I posted one for you earlier.

Go read Thomas Sowell or Walter Williams. Prior to the War on Poverty, black poverty was in steep decline, since the war was declared and fought with welfare that decline has flatlined.

Commonsense should provide an argument. You provide none, just declarations.

I can not judge African Americans. They were subject to Slavery. They still face racism.

Some of my ancestors were also serfs in 1828-1858. In Russia, all of former nobles' property was expropriated in 1918 following the 1917 Revolution.

Blacks arose up from slavery and prospered until liberalism. That's not a judgment of blacks.

And it is true more generally:

Correlation is not causation -- there may have been many other factors at play.

My great-grandparents got reparations from former Russian nobles. In 1918, all of former nobles' property was expropriated and thus millions of common people got living space in apartments.

The entire world has been enslaved at one time or another, Rome had slaves over the entire globe, egyptians, greeks, Hannibal and all 8 of the famous Barbarian leaders, everyone had slaves at one time. No one has an exclusive on being enslaved.

I was reading the other night about the Barbary Coast raids into Europe and enslavement of whites. 1.25 million according to The White Slaves of Barbary.
