You are completely wrong, by the way. Waterboarding is waterboarding. When the water starts flowing, you don't have any friends.

At least that is the way it feels.

Both walk away though.....and that is far different from the 3 waterboarded terror victims. Imagine having to jump out of the Twin Towers, to have to commit suicide to keep from burning to death.

And you tulips want to pretend you're concerned about 3 murderers having water poured down their faces. F'n please.

So you are literally saying on here that being waterboarded in your back yard with friends who will stop when you tell them and then make you a burger is THE SAME as being waterboarded as a POW? Seriously?

Isn't this the method that gained us the false info that helped sell the Iraq mistake to the public? Tortured people will tell you something. But it won't necessarily be the truth. especially if they don't even have the answers you want.

I am saying that after the first pour starts and you begin to experience the effects, you will not CARE who is waterboarding you. It could be your best friend or your worst enemy. They become one and the same.

Those people who say "Waterboarding in training is different from waterboarding by the enemy" have never been waterboarded. The only difference, assuming they use the same methods is that your trainers will know when to stop, but an enemy interrogator may not know the limitations or he may just not care. Either way, you, when you are strapped down, neither know nor care.

Something a lot of people who have never experienced it don't realize is that a fair number of people who wash out of SERE do so because after 2 or 3 days in the Resistance Training Laboratory, after already having been deprived of food and sleep and the stress of having to evade "hostile" forces and being captured (EVERYONE is ultimately captured and subjected to a little humiliation), they lose touch with reality and no longer realize it is a training exercise. I once had an interrogator remind me in a subtle way as he was bouncing me off a wall that he was on my side because I believe he saw in my eyes that I fully intended to kill him as soon as I got a chance.

No, you may know it is your best friend and you are in your own backyard and all is under control... until it starts.

A skilled interrogator knows the difference and will spot someone just making up information to make the interrogation stop in a heartbeat.

So it's not really the same. For example the breakdown they are subjected to before hand and that whole threat of death thing you mentioned. I think the guy that posted this video is probably an attention $#@!.

If I knew 100% for sure that someone had information that could help save a life, I would be on board (pun intended) for making them talk. But to kidnap people, some who might even be killers, from Afganistan or Iraq, and making them talk with torture is dumb. Please don't forget, those terrorists from 911 came from Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
I live with a profound happiness that can only be achieved by being hated by Mr.Veritis

I guess we were what? Fresh out of skilled "interrogators" in Iraq?
