Penn State bans wilderness adventuring, camping, caving, scuba diving.

Century-old pastimes now deemed "too dangerous" for Penn State University to sanction include camping, hiking, caving and scuba diving.

The Penn State Outing Club, originally founded in 1920, announced last week that the university will no longer allow the club to organize outdoor, student-led trips starting next semester. The hiking, camping and other outdoors-focused activities the student-led club has long engaged in are too risky, the university's offices of Student Affairs and Risk Management determined.

The PSU's ban was implemented without consulting the club, according to the club president.

Christina Platt, the Outing Club's incoming president, said, I can hardly blame Penn State for protecting itself against further litigation after a number of high-profile scandals in the past decade.

Well the club clearly has a gutless incoming president. These are adults for Christ sake! We have reached the point where trip beyond cell service is dangerous?

These snowflakes are our future? We are so screwed.

I became a certified diver at fifteen years of age.

Plenty of private clubs will supplant pansy college drop-out clubs.

Expect courses and outings like these being assailed by the leftness. There was a study done recently and Universities are or have hired nothing but leftists as Administrators and Teachers. Nothing but Beta males and the PC Fem Bots.

Nobody back in the Stone Age considered the issue of getting wet.

Their most infamous scandal had nothing to do with students participating in risky recreational persuits.

    What a pack of pussies!

Maybe they want to bed Amish teen girls on their first date?
As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. --H.L. Mencken,

One would need to have a sack to accomplish that.
