Most Mod action results from reports. I know many people don't use the report feature. But if you don't use it, I am not sure how you can make the complaint in your quote.

Looks like freedom of speech does not exist online anymore. If we make a comment that is obviously true we get banned or get an infraction. Some of the things poeple are saying are not anything that the person they are talking about does not say or has already said. We are no allowed to point somethign out. The conversations about the topic naturally decline with arguing at one another because we disagree so strongly. We should be able to say one another's name or point things out. Does this mean, someone can say something terrible to us and we can't say anything in return. It seems pretty ridiculous. We are all grownups here.....I think. If we want to argue and if it gets personal that should not get a person banned or even a warning. It may seem off topic when name calling starts but really it is not.

It seems like the forum is rigged. It seems like it is rigged so that there are real trolls that purposefully try to ruin threads that they do not like, and they never get a warning or in any trouble at all. It is like they are encouraged. But any person who is rational is not given the same treatment.

They can speak freely about the topic. If member A says "I think X is a good idea." Member B can say that is a $#@!ing stupid idea because [reason.]. Member B would violate the rules is he said "Member A, you are a $#@!ing idiot."

The goal is to discuss topics, not each other or attack each other.

Well it seems like that is the only way the members know how to communicate here. Every conversation on this forum leads to a personal insult of some form. I have been annoyed and offended but not once did I think of turning that person in so they could get banned. If I have something to say to that person who is bashing me personally I will say it directly to them. That is the right thing to do.

Then that person reports you, and you get tagged.

The report feature is there to direct Moderators to possible rule issues. If you don't use it, please keep your complaints to yourself.
