DNA has gone a long way to end wrongful prosecutions especially in capital cases, DNA has resulted in Many cold cases being solved from 20 even 30 yrs ago.

Recently they captured the Golden State Killer who killed and raped many in the 70s, early 80s, then stopped never to kill again. He was just captured over 40 yrs later with DNA

I am for the death penalty in very rare circumstances. Unfortunately there are some humans that are unsalvageable.

"Researchers found that 149 people were cleared in 2015 for crimes they didn’t commit — more than any other year in history, according to a report published Wednesday by the National Registry of Exonerations, a project of the University of Michigan Law School. By comparison, 139 people were exonerated in 2014. The number has risen most years since 2005, when 61 people were cleared of crimes they didn’t commit. "

"The men and women who were cleared last year had, on average, served 14.5 years in prison. Some had been on death row. Others were younger than 18 when they were convicted or had intellectual disabilities. All had been swept into a justice system that’s supposed to be based on the presumption of innocence, but failed."

"About 40 percent of the 2015 exonerations involved official misconduct, a record. About 75 percent of the homicide exonerations involved misconduct."

So, basically if you are charged with a crime, you best have a defense counsel that believes in you, and your case. Your defense counsel best be one heck of an investigator ; and have the integrity to work your case and be ferocious in your defense.

The propaganda is awesome. Capital punishment should always have a high bar. Some people need to be killed by the state. If the police or prosecutors make things up let them share the fate of the accused.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

Our justice system isn't just enough or accurate enough to have a death penalty. Too many mistakes, some accidental, some via negligence, some via malice.

So am I, with a few exceptions.

I believe public officials, whether elected or appointed, who are found to have violated their oath of office and the public trust, should be hanged in public and left exposed until the animals are done with their remains.

I believe military personnel who commit severe breaches of military discipline... The rape or murder of noncombatants, pillaging, desertion in the face of the enemy. Should be hanged with their unit assembled.

    Hang traitors.
