    How Much Can You Spend in Retirement? Consider using your life expectancy to calculate your retirement account withdrawals.

    This is a huge issue for a lot of people. You've saved all of your work life. Now you are at that point where you are going to back off or even stop working. How do you pace-out your life savings to make it last? This article helps provide some insight.

    Other than paying for construction so I can sell my house, I have not touched my retirement investments. I planned to live to age 94. I established a very comfortable burn rate (a bit less than 100K per year). At the end of my life, using conservative models I would have had about a third of a million to pass on. More realistic models increased that slightly to more than 500K remaining.

    Start early. Invest in low load index funds. Never touch the money. Be boring. Be very, very boring.
    Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

    I don't have enough to do that. i have to take gains to live the way I want. It should work. I don't care what I leave behind beyond the house.

    Good article. Don't rely on social security, especially younger generations. Invest in your employer's 401K at least to the level to get the max out of the employer's matching funds. Then get an IRA.

    That was just the stocks and bonds. I don't know what real estate I will have at that point.
