I'd agree, they went too far, were too dogmatic in not allowing for rape, incest, the health and life of the mother. Allowing for those would have undermined the pro-abortion side's demand for equal rights.

The latter was already allowed for. Rape and incest were not but that would have made a significant difference had a strategic compromise been made. It's something abortion proponents played on. That allowed the pro-choice side something beyond "women's rights" and other vague slogans that mask the reality of abortion.

Not sure about that % but it is true abortions are disproportionately by blacks:

Interesting, too, that while here the demand for abortion is in decline, in Ireland, apparently, it's on the rise. Perhaps they want to make room for more immigrants.

Yeah, it is better that a king decides what is good for all rather the people decide by themselves.

Were not you that you said that society needed to decide? Then, society decided. Were not you that you were saying in other topics about abortion that it was up to society? But, when the decision of the society is not of your agreement you start saying, oh is bad that the society decides by themselves...

What an anarchist that you are. For something, I have never considered your ideology as anarchistic, just a parody of yourselves.

That's just as bad as majoritarian rule. No matter the majority a minority do not get to decide by themselves.

Do you realize how stupid is this argument? Think a little about it. It does not make any sense.

And let me know how the minority cannot decide by themselves in this case. Please explain that to me.

I'm pro-life, but I don't see government prohibitions as a realistic way of protecting and promoting life. It's something that has to change on cultural level.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

    There's that stupid argument again.

The minority has no choice if the majority decide in a pure majoritarian democracy. Oh, wait, I already said that.

Right, the government should have no say in social issues like this.
