Dallas wife kills husband for beating a pet cat.

Mary Harrison is charged with the murder of Dexter Harrison.

At least 99% of commenters on the news are on her side. If a man shot his wife who was beating his CHILD, he would be treated like a monster.

Sadly in USA 2018, a man's humanity is regarded less then a cat.

What does that tell you about the American media?

Not the media, but American public which comments on an article -- they consider a man's life worth less then that of a cat.

Why do you suppose this is the case? What ideology has led us to this point?

Viewing men as Privileged Oppressors lead some women (not most but maybe a third) to view men as the enemy.

What kind of person beats a cat? Chances are, he was also abusing the wife and kids.

He sounds like a worthless piece of $#@!, probably no great loss.

Maybe he should have been jailed. But no one would have sympathy for a man who killed his wife -- even if the wife was abusing his child.

I believe there'd be sympathy for a man if he killed his wife because she was beating the kids.... he'd still go to jail, but, he'd have the sympathy of some.

I have no use for anyone who abuses animals, because there's absolutely no excuse for it.

He would get a long term and a sympathy of a small percentage of people.

So, what ideology do you suppose has led us to this point?
